J4 used image mapping to plot out an introduction to our reports about the Notting Hill Carnival. Can you understand what we have written?

Caribbean Cuisine

As part of our inquiry into 'how we express ourselves' we have been learning about the Notting Hill Carnival. This huge street carnival has been running since 1964 and features London’s Afro-Caribbean community celebrating their cultures and traditions through dance, music and food. After reading an article about the carnival J4 collaborated on a Caribbean inspired menu.

A Worthy Cause

Every year Hunter's Bar Juniors supports a worthy cause. This year the students were asked to submit their suggestions for which cause we should support. Here is Rory's submission.

I would like HBJ school to support Cancer Research UK this year because my Grandpa died of cancer and he taught me how to swim, to write my name and most importantly how to have fun. As a result of our fundraising it would help families not to have to live with the fear of losing someone to this terrible disease. Helping others is important because it has the ability to help hundreds of lives.

Positive Play at HBJ

Here is Abigail's fantastic acrostic poem and logo that represents positive play at HBJ.
